Origami Workshop 2
Our series of workshops are crafted to give you the confidence to experiment with various mixed media techniques.
Origami Workshop 2 - with Ba Hung Tran
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding and traditionally, is only folded from one sheet of square paper. The practice of origami is a great tool in practicing spatial reasoning, understanding geometry but it also teaches us to be calm, present and use patience with concentration.
There is also a therapeutic aspect to origami, which is why we do consider it "soul work". But above all, it is just fun and gives you a sense of accomplishment!
Saskatchewan Craft Council artist Ba Hung Tran will return and guide us once again through the step by step creation of Saskatchewan themed flora and fauna. The skills and techniques that we will gain from this master during our short workshop will have you making other origami art pieces for family and friends for years.
When: Sunday, November 17, 2019 - 1:00pm - 3:30pm.
Where: Soul Paper Workshop
118 - 20th Street West
